 2015年11月2日〜4日までラスベガスのベラージオで開催されたEVENTtech2015の2日目のセッションの模様を報告します。

キーノートは「ブランド」のストーリーについて

キーノートのスピーカーは、"BrandDigital"の著者のAllen Adamson氏。他社との差別化が難しくなってきている昨今の状況において、ブランドストーリーを**正しく正確に語ることの重要性**における4つのポイントが失敗事例とともに紹介されました。

1. Define THE POINT of you story. ：ストーリーのポイントを定義すること。
2. Make sure it is "ON BRAND". ：ブランドの上に成り立っているものであること。
3. Make it EXTRAORDINARY. ：目立っていること。
4. Make it VISUAL. ：ビジュアルとして成立するものであること。

上記の4つの中で印象深かったことは4番目の部分で、最近では口（WORD-OF-MOUTH）で伝える以上に目（WORD-OF-EYE）で伝えることが重要であるとのことでした。これは、ブランドを写真や動画を使用して視覚的に訴求していく方向になっているからこそ、より重要視されるようになってきているようです。InstagramやPinterestなどのソーシャルメディアでどのようにストーリーを見せるのか、1枚の写真でどのように訴求していくのか、より念密に計画を立てていく必要があるということでしょう。

ソーシャルメディアのコマンドセンターもイベントのコンテンツに

Ciscoのデジタルマーケティングマネージャー Ktehleen Mudge氏とGolinのエグゼクティブ・ディレクター Farrah Cox氏の2人によるセッションでは、"Creating A 'Social Media Command Center' At your B-TO-B Event"と題して、ソーシャルメディアのコマンドセンターをイベントのコンテンツとした事例の発表がありました。普段はユーザーから見えないソーシャルメディア担当スタッフをイベントの1ブースとして出展することでユーザーとコミュニケーションをリアルに行なう場を提供し、ブランドエンゲージメントを向上させることに成功したそうです。最近はソーシャルメディアのコマンドセンターをイベントで活用する企業も増えてきているらしく、ソーシャルメディア上のコミュニケーションをイベントでリアルな場と融合させる方向になっていっているようです。

イベントテクノロジーアワードランチョン

2日目のランチタイムでは各種アワードの発表がありました。イベントに特化したアワードは全部で12種類。ツールやテクノロジーをイベントでどのように利用するのか、それぞれのテクノロジーにフォーカスしたアワードは興味深いものがありました。日本でもこのようなアワードがあるとイベント業界も盛り上がるかもしれません。
