### **第１章 イベントの種類を知る**

#### **１節 マーケターの目的別イベントのタイプ**

 

イベントとひとくちに言っても、展示会、セミナー、キックオフミーティング、飲み会と社会人として思い当たるイベントは多くあります。単純にイベントのスタイルでわけるのではなく、今回は企業のマーケティング視点からイベントの種類を考えてみました。

企業がマーケティング活動の一環として行っている、または関連しているイベントには、消費者向けに提案するBtoC戦略と法人向けに提案するBtoB戦略の２つに大きく分けられます。

BtoC戦略では、新規顧客の開拓、既存顧客のリピート促進という２つのターゲット別にプランを準備します。イベントもそれぞれのターゲットに向けたもの、両方に向けたもの、またはリピーターが新規顧客を連れていきたくなるように設計されたものがあり、規模もそれぞれです。

 

**＜BtoC戦略＞**

新規顧客開拓イベント

既存顧客のリピート促進イベント

・会員・ファン限定イベント（新製品内見会、限定商品販売会、ファン感謝祭、握手会、サイン会）

新規・既存顧客双方に向けたイベント

・Pop-up Store:ポップアップ・ストア（期間限定の店舗）  
・体験会

 

BtoC戦略上のイベントの役割は、深い接点をつくること。TVCMのマスマーケティングやWebサイト、サイトへの誘導ネット広告などのデジタルマーケティングの接点に比べれば、イベントは数や範囲では劣るものの、その分希少性が高く、個人との接触時間は長くなるため、参加者に対して商品やサービス、ブランドの深い体験をもたらします。

個人に体験を提供できるイベントは、個のメディアであるSNSとも相性が良い点、また「企業目線でのメッセージではなく、顧客ユーザー視点の情報発信がほしい」といったニーズに合っている点などから、ソーシャルマーケティングの起点として活用されていますし、シェアを促進するプロモーションイベントはふえています。

 

**＜BtoB戦略＞**

BtoB戦略では、BtoCのようにターゲット別にというよりも、ターゲットのなかでも興味関心のフェーズに合わせたイベント施策を講じます。また、BtoB戦略の場合、フェーズごとのイベント単体での成果はもちろん重要ですが、各イベントでの接点を次のフェーズにいかにつなぐのか、全体設計の視点が必要になります。

 

見込み客データの収集イベント

・展示会（総合展示会・業界展示会・専門展などへの出展）

見込み客データの絞り込みイベント

・セミナー  
・勉強会

見込み客への販売イベント

・プライベートショー（自社開催の展示会）  
・商談会

継続購買・取引の拡大イベント

・ビジネスカンファレンス  
・ユーザーコミュニティ

 

BtoB戦略上のイベントの役割は、良質な見込み客の獲得と、案件につなげる絞り込みです。この２つが機能してはじめて受注という成果が生まれます。４つのフェーズに書き出したイベントを順を追って展開する必要はなく、たとえば絞り込みにはセミナーの代わりにWebサイトやメールマガジン、電話営業、訪問など、リソースにあった手段を使えばよく、つなげることが重要です。

ここでは紹介しきれませんでしたが、最近はBtoC戦略、BtoB戦略のどちらにも、ブランド体験イベント、CSRイベントの展開もあれば、従来からあるスポーツイベント・興行イベントへのスポンサード参加といったイベント活用の方法もあります。

 

まずは、ここに挙げたようなイベントに参加してみることからはじめてみてはいかがでしょうか。
