コロナ禍による影響で、マーケティングイベントのオンライン化が加速した2020-2021。  
オンラインイベントは、多くの人が気軽に参加・情報収集できる点から、イベントの手法として定着しつつあります。

皆様の中にも、イベントのライブ配信の企画や運用に携わっている方がいらっしゃるかと思いますが、そんな方に知っておいてほしいのが、「ライブ配信でどのような機材が使われているか」です。どのように撮影して、どのように視聴者に届くのかを知ることで、ライブ配信の運用をより適切に、より効果的に実施できます。

今回は、イベントでライブ配信をする皆様のために、基本的な配信システムをご紹介しながら、システム構築上留意すべき点や、役立つポイントを、整理してお伝えしていこうと思います。

### １．基本的な配信システムについて

ライブ配信の基本的なシステムは、下図となります。

登壇者を撮影するカメラや、講演やプレゼンで使用するスライド・写真・動画などを収めたPCなど、映像に関する信号は映像スイッチャーに入力します。  
登壇者の声を拾うマイクや、PCスライドや動画の音声など、音声に関する信号は音声ミキサーに入力します。  
音声ミキサーで音声バランスを取り、映像スイッチャーに入力し、全体の映像を作っていきます。  
配信PCで、OBS（Open Broadcaster Software）などストリーミングソフトウェアを利用すると、映像＋音声のミックスや、テロップやワイプの挿入など、演出を加えた配信映像を仕上げていくことができます。  
これを、YouTubeやVimeoなど、映像配信プラットフォームへアップロードし、ライブ配信を行います。  
※あくまで基本的な配信システムの一例です。 

### ２．音声ミキサーの重要性

ライブ配信＝映像が重要なイメージがあるかもしれませんが、映像のクオリティはもちろん、音声のクオリティも非常に重要です。私はむしろ、映像より音声のほうが重要だと考えています。  
皆様も、ライブ配信で登場者の音声が聞きとりにくかったり、途切れたりした時に、イラッと感じた経験はないでしょうか。これだけで簡単に、視聴者の離脱が起こってしまいます。  
また、パネルディスカッションでの登壇者の声のレベル差（音量差）や、プレゼン配信において人の声と動画等の音声のレベル差があると、とても聞きづらい配信になってしまいます。

そうした問題を解決する方法が、音声ミキサーの活用です。  
登壇者ごとの声量に合わせてレベルを調整したり、マイクと動画の音声レベルを調整することで、格段に聞き取りやすくなります。  
カメラで音声を拾ったり、音声ミキサー機能を有する映像スイッチャーを利用するケースもあるかと思いますが、より聞き取りやすい配信を目指すのであれば、きちんと音声ミキサーを利用して、音をコントロールすることを推奨します。

### ３．照明機器の重要性

ライブ配信の会場として、自社会議室を利用するケースも珍しくありませんが、この場合に気を付けたいのが、照明環境です。配信専用スタジオと違い、会議室には蛍光灯くらいの照明しかありません。

照明環境を作らないと、  
・明かりが全く足りないため、登壇者の顔が暗く映ってしまう  
・外光が入る会議室の場合、外の天候や朝昼夕の時間帯の変化で、映像の明るさや印象が全く変わってしまう  
・モニターを背負いプレゼンすると、モニターの光量にまけて顔が真っ暗に映ってしまう  
など、プレゼン映えしない問題が起こり、映像クオリティのムラや品質の低下につながります。

反対に、照明をしっかりとプラスすることで、高価なカメラがなくても、ワンランク上の映像クオリティを実現することができます。  
照明の色味で映像の雰囲気を変化させたり、背景と登壇者のコントラストをつけることで、視聴者に対して登壇者への意識をより強く向けさせることもできます。

撮影前に、撮影会場をベースに、演出したい雰囲気を明確にして、どのような照明条件であればその雰囲気になるかを検討することも、とても重要です。

### 4．ネットワーク回線の重要性

オンラインイベント撮影会場を選択する際の、重要なポイントの一つが、『インターネット回線環境』であることは、前回のブログ「[撮影会場の選定編](https://info.eventregist.com/weblog/online-event-beginners-guide-01)」でもご紹介しました。

イベントのライブ配信では、配信PCやエンコーダーから配信する際のインターネット回線利用以外に、  
・登壇者の一部が、Zoomなどのミーティングアプリケーションを使いオンライン登壇する  
・Googleスライドなどクラウド上の資料を、説明スライドとして使用する  
・YouTubeなどクラウド上の動画を、プレゼンで使用する  
など、メインの配信以外にもインターネット回線を使うケースが多々あります。

その場合、メインの配信に専用回線を充てられればベストですが、多くのケースでは共用回線で利用されます（共用回線にWi-Fiルーターを接続し、複数台のPCが同じWi-Fiに接続して配信する、など）。そうした場合、メインの配信PCやエンコーダーに割り当てできる回線速度が遅くなり、  
・映像と音声がズレる  
・映像がカクつく、止まる  
・最悪のケースでは、映像と音声の両方が止まる（配信停止が起こる）  
のようなデメリットが生じます。  
本番でそれらの問題が起きないよう、本番を想定した事前配信テストをしっかり行い、回線環境に問題ないか確認しておくことが、極めて重要です。
