東京書籍株式会社が主催する6つの教員向けセミナーが、2021年2月～3月にかけて、初のオンライン形式で開催されました。  
当イベントのプラットフォームとして「EventRegist」を導入いただきましたので、企画・運営を担当された東京書籍株式会社 営業総轄本部 森下健史氏にお話を伺いました。

 

**--- 教員向けオンラインセミナー開催の目的を教えてください。**

弊社は1909（明治42）年の創業以来、小学校から高校までの教科書を発行しています。指導要領の改訂時期など折に触れて、全国で現場の先生方を対象にイベントを開催して、様々な情報をご提供してきました。ところが、昨年のコロナ禍の影響によって、これまでの対面型イベントの開催が難しくなり、オンラインでの開催の検討を行いました。  
来年2022年度より高等学校では新指導要領に切り替わるため、特に今年は、何とかして先生方に情報をご提供したいという思いがありました。様々な手法を検討するなかで、今回初めてオンラインで開催することになりました。  
オンラインイベントとなると、ライブ配信も思い浮かびましたが、多くの先生方にご参加いただける機会をご提供するという観点から、いつでも何度でもご視聴いただけるように、オンデマンド配信をメインで取り入れることにしました。結果、高等学校の先生向けに開催した5本のイベントの内、1本はライブ配信、4本はオンデマンド配信として開催することができました。  
ご講演をいただいた先生方には収録のご協力をいただき、大変感謝しています。

 

**--- 配信にあたってご苦労されたことがあれば教えてください。**

オンラインでのイベント開催、そしてオンデマンド配信用の動画収録も初めての試みでした。そのため、対面であれば楽なのに…という意識を払しょくするのに時間がかかりました。また、講演をしていただいた先生には、今までのように、目の前の反応を感じながらお話することができない中での収録環境で、ご負担をおかけしました。

**--- EventRegist導入にいたった理由を教えて下さい。**

ひとつは、システムのインターフェイスがわかりやすかったことです。イベレジさんとのお打合せで、実際の画面を見せていただいた時に、直感的で使いやすそうだという印象を持ったことをよく覚えています。実際に設定画面に触るのはほとんど私でしたので、この点は大きなポイントでした。

また、導入の要件として、オンデマンド配信、オンラインチケット販売、イベント告知などの要素のすべてを、運営側でコントロールする必要がありましたが、なかなかすべてが揃っているシステムを見つけることができませんでした。一方、EventRegistは弊社の求めている要素をすべてバランスよく兼ね備えており、事前打ち合わせでは、システムで実現できる範囲、できない範囲を明示していただいたため、初期段階でスキームの全体像をイメージすることができ、導入を決定しました。

もうひとつのポイントは、サポート面です。他の企業さんにも打診をしましたが、オンラインという業態のためか、電話対応のみ、あるいはサポートがメールのみという会社が多く、初めてのオンラインイベントでサポート面に不安を感じ、踏み切れない状態でした。イベレジさんとは、ご来社いただいてface to faceでお話しできたことが、大きな判断材料となりました。ご質問した際には、いつも親身になって相談に乗っていただけました。ありがとうございました。

**--- 実際にEventRegistを使ってみていかがでしたか？よかった点、困った点などを教えてください。**

イベントを配信するまでは、事前のお話である程度準備工程の予想もできていたので、とてもスムーズに進めることができました。  
使いやすさを実感したのは、チケットの販売が始まってからでした。参加者の申込み件数やページビューのログが、デイリーで記録されていくので、申込み状況を見ながら都度告知の内容を変えたり、他社媒体で告知ページを打ってみたりと、その場に応じた様々な対応をすることが出来ました。

今回のイベントからは、参加者の細かな動向は、EventRegistの申し込みログと、弊社の動画配信サーバーのログとの両面で把握することが可能となりました。これらのデータは、今までのイベントではなかなか得られないもので、今後の開催にあたって貴重なものとなりました。  
また、参加者からの要望や質問などもリアルタイムで寄せられるので、イベント開催までの不安などはある程度解消できたのではないかと思います。

今までのイベントでは、当日までの準備はもちろん、イベント当日も運営スタッフとして携わり、事後にはアンケート集約など多くのスタッフが必要でした。しかし、今回の手法に変えることで、携わるスタッフの数を最小限にして、プロモーションに注力することができたのは、大きなメリットでした。

また、今までのイベントは、「イベントが終わったら終了」でしたが、オンライン配信は、開催期間中はいつでも視聴できるため、当初の目的通り、今までよりもご参加いただく機会を増やすことができました。イベント後の感想でも、こうした点をご評価いただける感想もあり、今までとの違いを感じることができました。  
お忙しい先生方には、参加できるタイミングにゆとりのあること、研究熱心な先生方には、繰り返し見ることができるオンデマンド配信というスタイルは、ニーズにマッチした部分があったのかもしれないと思っています。

 

**--- 今後どのようなイベントを開催していきたいですか？**

今回は、従来行っていた対面型の講演会を、そのままオンライン化するにとどまりました。今後はもっと動きのあるコンテンツをご用意したり、オンデマンド配信とライブ配信を組み合わせたりと、双方向に広がりのあるオンラインイベントを検討したいと思っています。

 

**--- 森下様にとってイベントとは？**

開催後のアンケートで、「何度も繰り返して見られて勉強になった」「こうした状況でもオンラインで開催してくれて助かった」というお言葉をいただくことができました。  
イベントに参加してくださった先生に「いいイベントだった」と言っていただけて、開催する側も同じように「いいイベントだった」と同じ感想を得ることができれば、そのイベントは成功だと思います。私にとってはそれが「イベント」といえるかもしれません。

編集後記

コロナ禍における東京書籍様初の教員向けのオンラインセミナーだったそうですが、オンライン開催のメリットをたくさん感じられたようです。  
その一つとして挙げられていたのが、登壇者や視聴者の参加の容易さです。登壇される大学や高校の先生、そして視聴される先生は全国各地にいらっしゃいます。均質なクオリティで、より多くの方に届けることのできるオンラインセミナーに、とても可能性を感じていらっしゃったのが印象的でした。

また、同じ期間に違う内容のセミナーを並行配信されていましたが、ここにもメリットを感じられたようです。従来は全国各地を回ってリアルセミナーを開催していたので、並行開催は難しかったようですが、教員の皆さんにとって必要な時期に必要なセミナーを一気に配信することが、これからの東京書籍様のセミナーの強みになっていくと感じました。
