インターネット企業の経営者・経営幹部・投資家が一堂に会する国内最大級のスタートアップカンファレンス「IVS2021 NASU」が、2021年11月17日（水）～19日（金）に、ハイブリッド形式で開催（オフライン参加：540人規模／オンライン参加：450人規模）され、当イベントの企画・運営・進行を、イベントレジストがサポートしました。

| IVSとは・・・ IVS（インフィニティベンチャーズサミット、以下IVS）は、スタートアップのエコシステムを盛り上げるために、経営者同士が東京以外の都市で集う、完全招待制、オフサイト形式のカンファレンスで、2007年秋にスタート。開始から約15年で、これまでに約2万人が参加、海外からの参加者が多いことも特徴の一つ。 これまでの開催地は、神戸、金沢、台北（台湾）やバンコク（タイ）など。 IVS のメインコンテンツである、LAUNCHPADは、厳しい選考を経て選出されたスタートアップが、投資家・VC・大手企業など審査員の前で、約6分間のプレゼンテーションを行うピッチコンテスト。 |

IVS2021 NASUを主催するIVS株式会社 代表取締役社長 島川氏、運営事務局/Bizdev 岡田氏に、お話を伺いました。

 

**--- 過去最高の満足度を獲得した IVS2021 NASU 企画のポイントや、成功の要因を教えてください。**

IVSは、スタートアップ経営者の「つながり」の場を提供したい意図で、コンテンツ作りやイベントの設計を行っていますが、今回は、今までのやり方は取り壊して熱狂的なものをつくるというコンセプトがあり、ホテルのワンフロア―に参加者を缶詰にする従来のスタイルを、見直したいと思っていました。  
以前、若い経営者の方から、「例えばキャンプのように一緒に作業をすることで、自然と交流して親睦を深め、それが事業にも活かせる出会いになれば、実現可能なのではないか」とご意見をいただいたことがあります。非常に面白い視点だと共感したので、内部メンバーとも話し合い、このコロナ禍の状況を考慮して、広々とした会場で開催してみるのはどうかと、具体的に検討を進めていきました。

スタートアップ業界は狭い業界ですので、クローズドで内輪なコミュニティの「スタートアップ村」と揶揄されることがありますが、そのネガティブな印象を逆手にとって、初めて参加する人でも、物理的に会場に行けばコミュニティに参加できるように、そのエリアに「スタートアップ村」を出現させることを目指しました。  
例えば、昼の時間帯には各セッションに分かれてそれぞれ参加していただき、夜には焚き火の元に皆が集まって交流できるようなイメージです。そこで、那須高原TOWA ピュアコテージの一部区間を貸し切ることにしました。

那須の会場の周りには飲食店なども無かったので、会場内で参加者おひとりおひとりが楽しむために工夫をされ、ここで集まろうとか、皆で一緒にお風呂入りに行こうなど、参加者同士で積極的に交流する雰囲気があり、ある意味では運営側のような動きをしていただいたと思います。そういったことができるような「余白があるイベント」だったことが、今回の成功の大きな要因だと感じています。

**--- イベントレジストの運営サポートはいかがでしたか？**

今までに例のない開催形式だったので、解決すべき課題が山積みでしたが、アイディア出しの段階からイベレジさんに一緒に入っていただきました。どうやったら成功できるか、参加者の満足度を高められるかなど、主催者と同じ目線でサポートしていただき、非常に心強かったです。イベントは、開催が近づけば近づくほど、最終調整や確認事項のタスクが積み上がっていきますが、そういう面も理解していただき、開催直前の時期には遅い時間まで一緒に対応いただきました。  
最後まで同じ熱量で伴走していただき、IVSメンバー一同感謝しています。

**--- あなたにとってイベントとは？**

イベントは、「カオスと熱狂」ではないかと思います。熱意を持ったいろいろな人が集まり、出会いや発見があり、そこで何が起こるか、どんな面白いことが起こるかわからないカオスな感じです。  
熱狂については、一人で記事を読むだけでも情報を得ることはできますが、人が集まることでつながりが生まれて事業が進み、さらにそれを皆で共有することで、その場でパッと熱が生まれるようなことをイメージしていて、それは素晴らしいことだと思っています。  
例えばLAUNCHPADでは、その場に参加した人が、起業家を応援したり、リアルタイムで感動し、その後一斉に交流し始めるようなことが起こります。それはイベントでしかできないことだと思いますので、そういった「カオスと熱狂」を作っていきたいと思っています。

次回は那覇での開催が決定しています。今回のアットホームな雰囲気や勢いそのままに、那覇ではより大きく挑戦的なものにしていきます。世の中の状況を見ながらにはなりますが、海外の企業家・投資家の方も300～600名程度は集めて、1,000人以上の規模での開催を予定しています。  
スタートアップとそれを取り巻く皆さまにとって、居心地のいい場所づくりを行うと同時に、運営側にとっても居心地のいい場所を目指していきたいです。

IVS2021 NASUでは、企画準備から当日運営まで伴走させていただきました。その中で感じたのは、島川様、岡田様はじめIVSメンバーの皆様の、「閉塞感のあるこんな時代だからこそ、熱狂を生み出せる仕組みづくり」を追及する姿でした。他のどんなイベントとも違う、参加者ファーストの場づくり、参加者が自発的に楽しめる環境づくりを実現すべく、我々も懸命にサポートいたしました。  
次回の那覇開催では、今回の那須とは違う、新たな熱狂を生み出せる仕組みを実現するべく、引き続き企画・運営面で全力でサポートをしてまいります。
